D90 digital slr body photographers can be said for developing and not just engineers! Wonderful user interface and image quality!

I am far from being a professional photographer, but I take it as seriously as possible while still describes it as a hobby. I often take pictures of people at events and many of my son, the child without flash in low light conditions.

I was with a Nikon D40x digital SLR body for 1 year and reached my limit with this camera early. The quality of the Nikon D40x is very good, but the interface of the camera is not for a serious shooter, or a button for quick access to fix the line of fire, according to the requirements of the correct white balance mode, exposure, metering mode, etc. I was very happy also limits the D40x, not a motor in the body that allows me to focus on goals AF-I/AF-S no (built-in lens motor without focus).

The Nikon D40x limitations were severe enough, that was about to consider purchasing a Canon 40D until the Nikon D90 appeared just in time.

Pros:

1. Fantastic series of separate buttons for the camera settings, such as ISO, white balance, metering, control, auto focus, image quality, shooting mode, etc.
2. Two control knobs
3. High resolution 920k pixel LCD screen (like the Nikon D300)
4. 12.3 megapixel CMOS sensor
5. Low noise high ISO capability (for the lighting conditions) that can shoot ISO 1600 with good image quality with the camera while I was in my D40x at ISO 400 and obtain acceptable IQ shoot. Are still with the ISO 3200 with results often used!
6. Top quality LCD screen on the new separate, the parameters are continuously displayed photographs of
7. Electro-focused agency, the work of using non-Nikon AF-I / S lenses, including lenses and inexpensive as wonderful Nikkor 50mm 1.8 (~ $ 100 animals lenses!)
8. 4.5 fps burst mode
9. Small in size but larger than D40/D40x/D60, is even lower in the hand than the D300 / D3
10. 720p 24fps MPEG video recording capabilities with an incredible talent, depth of field that has no use with my Sony camcorder in high definition.
11. Eleven point auto focus (not as good as the 51 points of the D300, but substantially better than my D40x with its 3 points)
12. GPS option
13. HDMI Output
14. Considerable number of options to adjust the camera settings and adapts to your style of shooting shooting
15. The fantastic image quality right out of the box, if you do not want the post-processing --
16. Great build quality
17. Top notch ergonomics of the camera (but it's a personal opinion, which is different) for each element

CONS:

1. Rolling Shutter "phenomenon while recording video: The D90 CMOS sensor has the same problem that other CMOS video recorders while recording video. If you move the camera, especially horizontally, in a freezing "or" rubber band effect "where the image is very different. It has video of Nice, the 720p looks very strong, but there is no substitute for a camcorder . If you use a tripod pots and make quick zoom / video quality. awarded without a tripod, but you can see a video nausea unstable. The sound is mono.
2. 1 / 200 flash sync is not a problem for me, but I could be there for you.
3. No phenomenon closing time: Located in Nikon D300/D3 and models of the same price range of businesses other camera digital slr body
4. The buffer fills up after about 8 RAW + JPG continues (END) records. This number varies depending on the parameters you click the shutter. JPG When the fire first, seems to be the buffer to allow a large number of continuous shots, but did not quantify only JPG.

TIPS:

1. You can get the Nikon View NX from Nikon's site, as phase 1 for his work. This will cause the RAW image can be modified Nikon RAW CaptureNX2 consider additional treatments or simply export to JPG or TIFF to JPG / TIFF editor like Photoshop.
2. Recommend buying the CaptureNX2 Nikon. This is a RAW converter (if you shoot in RAW format), that the camera settings properly for export to JPG or TIFF see. Capture NX2 is not smooth like the Adobe products and Capture NX2 requires a fairly powerful computer, or gradually be run on a PC > 3 years.
3. To consider if you increase the JPEG images to use off-camera, the sharpness of the standard 3 or 4. Nikon uses a very conservative approach to default settings. Nikon has also decided to modify the images in standard JPEG format D3/D700/D300 devices that produce images of high neutral meeting place. Therefore, images of the D90, unless D40/D40x/D60/D80 may also want to return the camera saturation and contrast.

The Nikon D90 has all the characteristics of the user, serious and even professional photographers need a good quality image.
